About Charlene Winter

“‘Home’ is the best word there is—”

Charlene is a patient, kind and positive force in real estate. She strives to educate her customers about the real estate market on a personal level—as needed—using what tools are necessary, such as flyers, reports, etc. She chose real estate because it provides a flexible schedule, for potential earnings, and because it is a “people” business. When discussing her previous career experience in relation to her current real estate profession, Charlene states, “In both professions, students and clients have their own story. I have to meet them where they are in the process in order to move forward.”

Before joining the Virginia Country team, Charlene retired from teaching, in which she taught several years in Gloucester County, three years in Lancaster County, and twelve years in Mathews County. She grew up in York County in a military family, but the Middle Peninsula has been home since 1980. She currently resides in Mathews with her husband, and has a daughter, Vicki, who resides in New Jersey. Outside of real estate, she helps her husband in the garden, as well as enjoys quilting, reading, and motorcycle riding.
